Defence Medical Services

On 22 Dec 2009, Surgeon Vice Admiral Raffaelli succeeded Lieutenant General Lillywhite as Surgeon General.

The Defence Medical Services (DMS) is comprised of Headquarters Surgeon General ( HQ SG), with its "Embassy" Headquarters Surgeon General (London) ( HQ SG (London)), Joint Medical Command (JMC), Defence Dental Services (DDS) and the three single Service medical organisations. It is headed by The Surgeon General (SG) and The Deputy Chief of Defence Staff (Health).
