All of us in the DBS Civilian HR will:
Keep honing and learning new skills, confirming that they are helping to improve our performance.
Know about the wider context of people policies into which our work fits.
Know what our role might be in unexpected events or emergencies.
Make sure we share our knowledge, ideas and experience.
Follow the documented processes and if we don’t know, ask.
Make full use of the Agency’s technology and information.
Our managers will:
Work with managers across the Agency to deliver a joined up service.
Keep abreast of what’s going on in their line of business in the wider world.
Review and streamline our processes: identify and mitigate our risks.
Communicate - listen as well as broadcast.
The Board will:
Be visible and accessible in the Agency and beyond
Use external measures (ISO standards, surveys) to prove our quality.
Provide and continuously review a framework of strategies, policies, plans and controls for effective management and continuity of the business.
