For enquiries on your pay, your miscellaneous claims (i.e. for short terms detached duty) and HR related enquiries (such as position management changes, recruitment enquiries and training and development enquiries) your first point of contact would be the People Service Centre (PSC).
It is estimated that the PSC will handle in excess of 1 million calls per year. Our target is to answer your call within 30 seconds of you choosing your call option via your telephone keypad. In addition, it is expected that they will action in excess of 5000 items of correspondence (faxes, letters and emails) per month.
In the event that the PSC does not have the answer to your enquiry and/or it requires further investigation, the advisor would refer the matter to the relevant expert business office. However, it is anticipated that 85% of customer enquiries will be dealt with at the first point of contact - the People Service Centre.
We do encourage our customers to access the People Services intranet site, as quite often the answer to their enquiry lies therein. However, if your enquiry is non-urgent, please contact us electronically. Our target is to answer your enquiry within two working days.
