About Keeping In Touch...
This service is for you as an employee and applies if you are away from the workplace because of prolonged sick or special leave, maternity or adoption leave, extended special unpaid leave (ex career break) or on secondment or loan. It is to ensure that you are kept informed of changes related to the workplace or to your employment conditions. This enables you to make informed decisions during your absence; actively manage your career and is sound business practice that reflects MOD's commitment to Equality and Diversity.
While the Department will endeavour to keep you informed of changes, the responsibility ultimately rests with you to satisfy yourself that you are being kept informed of workplace changes and, where appropriate, take follow up action.
If you need any help with this service please phone the DBS Civilian HR People Service Centre (PSC) on 0800 345 7772 (STD).
Keeping In Touch with local news...
Your line management chain (usually through your line manager) will keep you informed about organisational reforms within your TLB or Agency that impact on your job - this will include news about organisation reviews, office relocations, changes to post end dates etc and will also include one off publications and professional specific information. You will need to agree with your line manager the information he/she should include.
