Networks Team
The Networks Team is responsible for providing network services across defence, while delivering greater efficiency and effectiveness, improving the coherence of defence networks.
The Networks team’s main areas of responsibility include:
- Management, delivery and support of Information Systems and Services Satellite and HF communications, and emergent future core network concepts
- To provide effective deployable wideband information and infrastructure for the armed forces
- To provide a single point of contact within the MOD for the acquisition and support of all cryptographic equipment, policy and advice
- Delivery of a defence telecommunication service, providing global voice, data and video teleconferencing services
- The provision of non battlefield GSM mobile communications such as GSM telephony and commercial radio
- Providing mobile and remote access services enabling the defence community to adapt to, and benefits from, a more flexible way of working.
