Director Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition & Reconnaissance (D ISTAR)

Director ISTAR delivers and supports capabilities which provide information superiority, protection and defence against threats.

D ISTAR’s teams are responsible for delivering a variety of capabilities to meet the needs of its diverse customer base. Its projects are critical to successful operations being carried out by the Armed Forces.

Current activities

The collection, exploitation, dissemination and integration of information to achieve information superiority and situational awareness in the military environment:

  • Chemical, Biological, Radiological or Nuclear (CBRN) protection
  • Force Protection
  • Special Projects
  • Counter Improvised Explosive Devices (CIED) co-ordination
