Joint Doctrine Publication (JDP) 4-00: Logistics for Joint Operations

The purpose of Joint Doctrine Publication (JDP) 4-00 is to draw together, in a single document, the various and sometimes disparate elements of national and multinational logistics, so that both planners and operators can recognise their significance, interdependence and influence within a joint campaign.  Whilst recognising that specific functions such as supply and distribution, medical, infrastructure and other services often have quite different constraints and procedures, this publication identifies how the logistic output of these functions interact and contribute to the whole spectrum of operational Combat Service Support.
