The Glossary of Terms and Definitions consists of the English section of the Allied Administrative Publication-6 (AAP-6) ‘NATO Glossary of Terms and Definitions', Allied terms that have yet to be published in AAP-6 and UK joint terms. The origin of each term appears in italics after the definition (e.g. AAP-6, UK).
In the case of those terms used within NATO, but which do not yet appear in AAP-6, the attribution is shown as 'NATO'. Such terms and definitions may be taken from Military Committee (MC) Policy documents or from documents promulgated by other authoritative NATO bodies.
