Fusilier Kelan Turrington

The Ministry of Defence regrets to announce that a soldier, Fusilier Kelan John Turrington, Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, was killed in action in Basrah on 6 April 2003. He was aged 18.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very difficult time.

Fusilier Turrington was awarded a posthumous Mention in Despatches in the Operational Honours published on 31 October 2003 in recognition of the gallantry he displayed during the assault on an enemy trench that cost him his life.
