There are a number of housing schemes that are avaliable to the Service and Ex Service community. This includes affordable home ownership schemes such as Homebuy (England) and LIFT (Scotland). Following the announcement in May 2011 and the governments pledge to the Armed Forces in the form of the military covenant, MoD Personnel have now been given top priority along with social tenants, for these schemes. This has been labelled Priority Status for MoD personnel which includes members of the regular Armed Forces.
