Hereford is located on the A49 between Ross-on-Wye and Shrewsbury, although a lot of people think it is located in Wales we are on the English side of the Welsh boarder and we are surrounded by beautiful countryside and farmlands. Hereford town is a bustling, up and coming city centre with plenty of shops and restaurants to suit everyone’s taste, and with major shopping centres such as Birmingham and Cardiff only an hour away it is an excellent location. Hereford Garrison is split into two main areas, Credenhill and Stirling Estate, approximately 6 miles apart. Please contact the HIVE once you have an address so that the right information can be given to you prior your move.

The Unit has excellent facilities, some of which are available for use by dependants, such as the gymnasium and the Aquatic Centre.  Timetables for these are available from the HIVE.  For military personnel there is the Officer's Mess and the WOs'/SGTs' mess, an all ranks bar open daily 9.30-2.00pm and evenings Mon-Thur 7.00-11.00pm, an Army Learning Centre, Library, and hairdressers.
