Worthy Down is located approximately 5 miles from the historic city of Winchester. Army Training Regiment (Winchester) is situated approximately 1 mile from Worthy Down on the Winchester road. Winchester has excellent road and rail links, it is 1 hour by rail to London Waterloo. Southampton, Basingstoke and Portsmouth are all within easy travelling distance, each has excellent shopping facilities.

Worthy Down camp is easily accessible to the M3, M4 and is located adjacent to the A34.

The following facilities are available within camp: the community centre which hosts several clubs, a playgroup and crèche, a gymnasium complex which boasts excellent facilities, shops and hairdresser/barber.
