The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst is an area of historical buildings and monuments within an inspiring background. The Academy is just off the M3 on the Surrey/ Bracknell Forest border, close to Camberley, Basingstoke, Bracknell, and London and offering an abundance of local activities for single and married personnel as well as families. Blackwater train station has links to Gatwick and Reading and Camberley train station has links to Heathrow Airport and London. There are a number of shopping centres in and around the Sandhurst area. The Academy itself holds events every year which can be attended by all in the community; these include Guy Fawkes Night and Heritage Day.

Amenities in the Sandhurst Station Community Centre include the HIVE Information Centre, the Community Development Worker, Ghurka Welfare Worker, the Station Welfare WO2, the MOD police and a ladies hairdresser. The Barber can be found in New College. The Montgomery Gymnasium is open to service personnel and dependants as is the swimming pool. The Amigo shop is a convenience and grocery store that is open seven days a week situated in the Sandhurst hall. There is also the Fort Royal Cafe'/ Deli. The station has thriving Officers', WOs' & Sgts' Messes, a library, education centre, medical centre, church, Ghurka Temple and Bank with cash point facilities.
