The town of Bordon lies within North East Hampshire and contains the villages of Grayshott, Headley, Kingsley, Lindford and Whitehill. It lies on the A325 which can be reached from the north near Farnham on the A31 or from the south off the A3. It is set within beautiful countryside, ideal for walking. Bordon is close to many interesting towns, for example Winchester, Portsmouth, Farnham and Guildford. It is also an easy commute into London by train. There are plenty of family attractions close by which offer great days out for all ages. There is a leisure centre within Bordon itself, which has many activities for both adults and children including a pool, well equipped gym and clubs for all ages. If you fancy a little culture without a visit to London, then go no further than the Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre in Bordon. With regular productions and arts activities, there is something for everyone at the Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre.

The camp has several gyms, well equipped with weight training and multigym facilities and a garrison pool, which is open to all serving personnel and their families. The Army Education Centre (9AEC) is based in Prince Philip Barracks and is where you can get educational advice. It also incorporates a library offering LearnDirect courses. There is a WRVS for use by SEME soldiers, which has facilities such as internet access, Microsoft software, computer games, TV room (with SKY), pool table, snooker tables & table tennis. Within this complex there are also several SEME bars for both over 18s and under 18s. Martinique House Community Centre houses the Welfare Offices, the HIVE, AWS and a coffee shop which is open for drinks, snacks and hot food. The camp also provides a barbers, a Spar Shop, cashpoints, a Church, telephones and a PRI shop.
