Glencorse Barracks is home to 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland (Royal Highland Fusiliers).  It is located 8 miles outside Edinburgh and the nearest town is Penicuik, which is approximately a mile and a half away and provides local shops and anemities.

The barracks are located a 10 minute walk from Service families' accommodation (SFA) at Milton Bridge.  The Glencorse HIVE is located within Scot's Corner, a newly built Amenities Centre which forms part of the Milton Bridge SFA estate.  Scot's Corner hosts youth clubs, coffee mornings and various other activities for all ages in addition to providing a cafe, mini gym and internet suite.   

Facilities within Glencorse Barracks include a gym, Army Learning Centre (ALC), Spar, cookhouse and bar.
