Kinnegar is situated on the shores of Belfast Lough and on a clear day the views are amazing. The nearest small town is Holywood and it has everything you might need for your convenience. There is a TESCO 24 hour mega store and a large Sainsbury’s and B&Q slightly out of the town centre. Holywood itself still maintains an old fashioned charm; there is a maypole and a number of Bistros and small quirky shops along with very smart restaurants and bars and all the usual high street stores.

Belfast is only a few miles away and has everything that you might expect in a capital city. The city airport is right on your doorstep and Belfast docks are only minutes away for convenient travel back and forwards to the rest of the UK.

Bangor is a Victorian seaside town and is approximately 8 miles away. There are various coastal walks, a marina and a seafront play area and boating lake for the children as well as numerous restaurants and shops.

Personnel who are unaccompanied will be living within Kinnegar itself, all of the married quarters are on Palace Bks which is a very short journey away.

Palace Bks boasts a full range of facilities eg, HIVE, gymnasium, library, hairdresser, stables and swimming pool. There is a NAAFI which is a well stocked convenience store and there is a family's bar which is used for various activities.

Kinnegar is rather smaller with fewer facilities. The HIVE is open every day and most evenings and weekend for internet access. A small NAAFI bar and shop also operate most evenings.
