The Defence Academy lies just outside the rural villages of Watchfield and Shrivenham, the boarder of Oxon & Wilts (on the A420), on the edge of the Cotswolds. Faringdon market town is just less than 5 miles North East and Swindon is 8 miles South West. The picturesque University city of Oxford is 22 miles away (30 mins by car) and the cities of Reading, Bath, Bristol and Cheltenham are all within an hours drive.
