The Joint Aeronautical and Geospatial Organisation (JAGO) is based at Denison Barracks, Hermitage. The Unit houses 42 Engineer Regiment (Geographic) and the Royal School of Military Survey.

Hermitage and Curridge are small rural villages 1 mile from the junction of the M4 and M34. The nearest town is Newbury; 4 miles to the South. Excellent road links give easy access to Reading, London, Bristol, Oxford and the South coast. There are lovely country walks, horse trials and cycling routes locally.

The Unit boasts some very good sporting facilities including a gymnasium, squash courts, tennis courts and astro turf pitch. There is a library within the unit which provides internet access; internet access is also available in the HIVE. Many clubs have sessions in and around the unit including wargamers, arts and crafts and "Brownies".
