Entitled Fee Paying Pupils

Fees for entitled fee-paying pupils are determined by SCE and the rates are published annually.

SCE

Entitled fee-paying children are normally admitted to SCE schools on a 'space available' basis in accordance with DfE guidance on school capacity and SCE maximum class sizes.

There are three categories of entitled fee-paying pupils:

  • children of United Kingdom-based employees of the Service institutions and welfare organisations listed at Annex A to this chapter;
  • children of US Forces personnel whose admission to an SCE school is approved by DoDDS;
  • children of members of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) whose countries are signatories to the ARRC Agreement
Service Children's Education

Application for admission of an entitled fee-paying child to an SCE school should be made by the parent to the Headteacher of the school. The parent must complete an admission application form and give this to the Headteacher. If space is available to admit a fee-paying pupil the form will be submitted to the Area Education Officer in order that the admission can be approved and a debit voucher raised.

Fees for entitled fee-paying pupils are payable upon admission and on or before the first day of each term thereafter. Parents will be required to sign a continuation form in advance of each new term confirming that they wish their child to continue in attendance and that they accept that fees must be paid on or before the first day of the new term.
