Jeremy Watt

Jeremy has been an Education Officer with CEAS since 2003. Initially, he had a territorial responsibility for eastern and northern England but he assumed the role of Deputy Head of CEAS in May 2007.

Prior to joining CEAS, Jeremy taught English for nine years in a comprehensive school in the eastern suburbs of London and, by the time he left the classroom, he was a Year Head in what is now Key Stage 3 (the first two years of secondary education in England). He left teaching, via Hull University, for a career in educational administration in two local authorities in England. He held responsibilities, for over twelve years, for services in the areas of special educational needs, child protection, education welfare, admissions to schools and exclusions from schools. He is a member of the newly constituted Association of Directors of Children's Services.
