Aim:
To examine the principal influences upon, and potential sources of, global instability and conflict in the 21st century.
Content:
The term lasts for 7 weeks, and includes lectures, panels and seminars on:
- Introduction to the Contemporary International Scene
- Economics and Finance
- Society and Culture
- Science and Technology
- Climate change, food and water security and migration
There are study visits to City of London financial institutions, and to defence industry. This term also includes a study visit to the US government and international financial institutions (IFIs) in Washington and to the United Nations in New York.
