York St John University

It is essential that overseas Members are comfortable working in the English language, and already able on arrival to speak to a good conversational standard.

A refresher English language course is available from seven weeks prior to the start of the course. This language training is contacted at York St John University, based in the centre of the City of York. Students are lodged with local families, and supplement their language tuition with a valuable immersion in the British way of life. It also allows them to become aquainted with other prospective Members of their RCDS group before the main course starts.

Some further English language training is offered to those who require it during the course.
