International Defence Training (Army) (IDT(A))

British Army training develops officers, soldiers and civilian staff who are effective in every aspect of operations undertaken in current and future conflicts. Alongside military strength and capability, the training creates functional specialists and skilled decision makers.

Students are immersed in the ethos and doctrine that makes the British Army respected around the globe. War fighting, conflict prevention and peace support operations demand a moral and military strength which is firmly entrenched in the training system. Students are trained in the traditions of the British Army, learning battlefield effectiveness, strategy, logistics, languages, technical and equipment support, administration and leadership.

Bespoke courses offer the development of military capability. Customised packages are developed after exact requirements are discussed and determined by our specialist training teams with experts on hand to continually adjust as necessary.

The British Army welcomes international students on a full range of individual training courses, and also provides training to civilians from industry and those deploying on humanitarian missions.
