Training Support Wing (TSW)

The Training Support Wing (TSW) underpins training delivery at DSL by covering all aspects of training support including Design, Quality Assurance, Evaluation, Civilian Accreditation, Assessment and Information Systems. The Learning Resources Department (including the Library and Self-Access Centre) and Reprographics Department also come under the TSW umbrella.

In accordance with directives laid down by Directorate General of Training and Education, TSW ensures DSL compliance to the Defence Systems Approach to Training Quality Standard (DSAT QS), being actively involved in the training design and development aspect, overseeing and internally validating the training delivery and working in conjunction with the DOLSU Intelligent Customer Cell (DOLSU-ICC) to complete the cycle through needs analysis and external validation.

Projects such as the Iraqi Dialect Module, which includes a 3-day task-based exercise, have demonstrated the hugely positive impact of the intelligent application of DSAT to language training. Current courses being reviewed are Arabic, Pashto, and Russian diploma courses.
