Cyprus Joint Services Adventurous Training Centre (CJSATC) is located on the East Coast of Cyprus, within the Eastern Sovereign Base Area (ESBA). The Centre provides a full range of Adventurous Training (AT) activities at Levels 2, 3 and 4, including; Parachuting, Paragliding Sub-Aqua Diving, Off-Shore Sailing, Kayaking and Canoeing, Hill Walking and Rock Climbing.
CJSATC is primarily remitted to cater for on-island troops but we also cater for visiting exercise troops and visiting expeditions, (Adventurous Training Group (Army) sponsor 22 Sea Kayaking and Sub-Aqua Diving expeditions per year) and up to 8 parachuting expeditions/training visits by Red Devils, Golden Lions etc. CJSATC aslo provide course places to non-Cyprus troops on a fill-up basis.
CJSATC, Dhekelia conduct a variety of courses under the Joint Service Adventurous Training (JSAT) scheme. Course vacancies are allocated on a pro-rata Service and Sovereign Base Area (SBA) unit basis.

CJSTAC History
CJSATC has been around in one form or another since 1974. It was firstly set-up as "The Commands Adventurous Training/Water Activities Centre". In 1986, the unit was officially given the title of CJSATC, which remains the same today. Cyprus is an island that basks all year-round in the warmth of the Mediterranean sun.

Tasks
- CJSATC is a Level 4 JSAT centre primarily located in the south eastern side of Cyprus. The HQ, Sub-Aqua Diving, Kayak and Parachute Wings are located in the Eastern Sovereign Base Area (SBA) at Dhekelia. The Mountain Wing principally in Troodos Station and the Offshore Sailing Wing located in the mole at RAF Akrotiri
- CJSATC employs a total establishment of 12 full time and up to 14 incremental staff across its HQ and 4 / 5 Activity Wings: HQ, Sub-Aqua Diving Wing, Kayaking Wing, Parachuting Wing, Offshore Sailing Wing and Mountain Wing
- CJSATC in addition, provides 4 courses of Paragliding and Gliding per year with instructor and equipment support sponsored by the RAF via JSHPC (Crickhowell) and Joint Service Gliding Centre (JSGC) (RAF Halton) respectively
