MOD Police Committee - Sub-Committee

Membership comprises the Chair of the Police Committee, an independent member and a Police Advisor.

Roles:

• Handle all allegations and complaints made against Ministry of Defence Police Chief Officers under the MDP Complaints and Discipline Regulations
  
  
• Provide representation on Police Appeals Tribunals when required to do so
  
  
• Sit on Level 2 Misconduct Hearing Panels in accordance with the Misconduct Regulations (expected to come into effect in 2008)
  
  
• Conduct a Professional Standards Department Audit before each Police Committee meeting
  
  
• Provide professional standards advice and guidance to the Agency Owner, Chief Constable and staff where necessary
