Cancellation of programmed Familiarisation Visits
With effect from the 8th Sept the monthly programmed Familiarisation (FAM) visits are now cancelled. This is due to the training requirement of DVA staff with the introduction of Cerberus in November and the increased financial constraint on DVA resources. Customers should now use the DVA Customer Advisory Group (CAG) forums, that take place throughout the year to obtain information and updates on vetting policy and provide feedback on policy issues or performance.
Our customer familiarisation visit programme is available to all sponsors.
The customer familiarisation visit programme is available to all sponsors and security officers from the Armed Services, MOD establishments, defence Industry and Other Government Departments (OGD's). The visit is hosted at the DVA site in York, North Yorkshire and is designed to give our customers an insight to the work we carry out on personnel security vetting. Our visit programme is a great opportunity for our customers to meet our staff and raise any issues they may have.
The day will include a vetting overview presentation and a tour of the Agency to see various aspects of the vetting process and presentations on Aftercare and Developed Vetting. We will also give an overview on CERBERUS, our new vetting case management project that is due to be launched to our customers in late summer 2010.
We value your feedback and comments and ask that you complete our comments form at the end of your visit to mark our performance and put forward any suggestions that will improve the familiarisation visit programme.
The 2010 familiarisation is programmed to take place twice a month to maximise the opportunity for customers to visit us.
