Defence Intelligence organisation
The Chief of Defence Intelligence (CDI), a serving three-star military officer, is responsible for the overall coordination of defence intelligence throughout the Armed Forces and single-Service commands. This function requires strategic guidance to be produced on the management of all defence intelligence assets, including those used to support military operations.
CDI is supported by the Deputy Chief of Defence Intelligence, who is responsible for Intelligence Production, and the Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (Intelligence Capability).
