ICG Mission - To deliver intelligence, information, services and force elements to Defence, including deployed forces, and to Other Government Departments and international partners underpinning strategic to tactical level decision-making and action in order to support the achievement of Defence objectives.

Role

The Intelligence Collection Group (ICG) was formed within the Defence Intelligence Staff (DIS) on 01 Jun 06. The ICG is commanded by an Air Commodore and employs approximately 3,100 staff, of which two thirds are military.

ICG comprises of

Headquarters, Intelligence Collection Group based at Feltham, Middlesex. Commander ICG is supported by a headquarters which manages the strategic aspects of the organisation's work and ensure that ICG strategies are turned into policy, plans and action.

To support Commander Intelligence Collection Group (ICG) in discharging his responsibilities and help set conditions for the success of his subordinate commanders in delivering intelligence, information, services and force elements in order to support the achievement of Defence objectives.
