Amport House

Elizabethan Style Grade II listed building. Formal gardens by Lutyens with ornate waterways, yew hedging, 'Knot Garden' (which incorporates the Winchester coat of arms), and a considerable topiary. The site is accessed via a gatehouse which opens onto a long, snaking driveway leading to the house. The site sits in open countryside. Interior has ornate plasterwork and 'Elizabethan' style features. Views from the house look across formal gardens to open countryside. There is also an avenue of pleached limes, reputedly the longest in the UK
