RAF Scampton

The site was the base for the WW2 Dambuster raids. Large numbers of disused accommodation blocks, a disused Officers' Mess (the original mess as featured in the 'Dambusters' film), a 10,000 foot runway (one of the largest in Britain), barrack blocks (including one used in the Dambusters film that was the actual building used in briefing the Dambusters mission), many with the wartime camouflage still visible. There are 4 hangars including the actual 617 Dambusters hangar.
