HFRI Course

Helicopter Fast Rope Instructor (HFRI)
Established to provide UK land and maritime forces with the capability of rapid deployment into enclosed areas on land or sea.
HFRI - 2 day course to provide specialist troops with the ability to fast rope from various platforms into hostile enclosed spaces.
To qualify troops as dispatchers and instructors to provide in unit continuation training.

Helicopter Abseiling Instructor (HAI)
Established to provide UK forces, police and overseas allies with rapid deployment capability of personnel and equipment into hostile environments.
HAI - 3 day course to train and practice troops in the techniques associated within helicopter abseiling from multiple platforms.
To qualify troops as dispatchers and instructors to provide in unit continuation training.

Helicopter Handling Instructor (HHI)
Established within UK forces to provide the reconnaissance, operation and management of helicopter landing sites.
HHI - 5 day course focusing on the reconnaissance and safe operating of landing sites by day and night.  To give students the necessary skills to teach and validate Landing Point Commanders and Rigger/Marshallers.
