Multinational co-operation has been the main currency of Britain's conventional defence since the North Atlantic Alliance was founded in 1949, and it will continue to be so in the 21st Century.

This paper explains why we believe that now is the right time to extend that co-operation, examines the benefits and risks of doing so, and sets out our plans for the future.
