Since April 2006 the MOD has offset CO2 emissions from all MOD Centre staff flying on commercial flights, through the Government Carbon Offsetting Fund.
This fund enables Departments to offset emissions from official air travel, by investing in energy efficient overseas projects. Together with our targets to reduce carbon emissions from road vehicles used for Government administrative operations, this will support our aim to ensure Defence operates in a sustainable manner .
