BMATT (CZ) deployed a 5 man In Country Training Team (ICTT) to Senaki, Georgia between 04 - 27 Sep 2012 to conduct a Junior Command and Leadership Course (JCLC). There were 30 students on the course that were ranked ranged from Pte 1st Class to 1st Lieutenant. 50% of the course were officers. The aim of the ICTT was to develop/improve the students Command and Leadership abilities.

The ICTT training content was based around the JCLC which is delivered in Vyskov and was predominantly based around low level tactical training and all of the training was conducted using translators. During the training, the students, LO and translators were especially keen to understand how command tasks are used, what resources were required and what benifits there were from completing command task training. The command task module was given to the LO and is to be incorporated into future officer training at the military academy. The highlight of the course for the students was the arrival of the Georgian Deputy Defence Minister during the final week of the course. The minister was impressed with what the BMATT instructors had taught during the ICTT.

The BMATT (CZ) ICTT deployment was successful and it is assessed that all of the students benefitted greatly from the training that was delivered.
